Philip J. Myers, is President and owner of American Investors Group. He has been an officer and owner of the firm since 1988. Mr. Myers earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1977 from the State University of New York at Binghamton and his Juris Doctor Degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1980. From 1980 until 1982, Mr. Myers served as an attorney with the Division of Market Regulation of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and, from 1982 to 1984, as an attorney with the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission in San Francisco. From 1984 to 1986, he was employed as an attorney with a San Francisco law firm where he specialized in corporate finance, securities and broker-dealer matters. From 1986 to 1988, before he became affiliated with American Investors Group, Inc., Mr. Myers was engaged as Senior Vice-President and General Counsel of a 400 broker securities dealer located in Marin County, California. He is a member of the New York, California (inactive status) and Minnesota Bar Associations, and a registered General Securities Principal.
Scott J. Marquis, is Chief Financial and Operating Officer of American Investors Group, where he has been employed since 1987. Prior to his employment with Amercan Investors Group, Mr. Marquis served seven years with the Minneapolis-based broker dealer, Piper Jaffray Companies in its operations department. Mr. Marquis attended the University of Minnesota, and served in the United States Coast Guard Reserve. Mr. Marquis is a licensed financial principal and registered representative of American Investors Group, Inc.
N. Michael Tangen is Executive Vice President of American Investors Group, Inc. Mr. Tangen graduated from U.S. Military Acadamy at West Point with an engineering degree and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. He has served extensively in the areas of corporate finance, retail securities and investment banking. He has also served as a senior executive in trading, finance, manufacturing, medical device and biotechnology. He has extensive international and cross-cultural commercial experience. Mr. Tangen previously was a Vice President of Con-Agra and Vice President and General Manager of Dain-Bosworth's Capital Management Group. He has served as President of LAWCO Financial and MAST Group, an exclusive consultancy to Cargill, Inc. Mr. Tangen has held securities licenses throughout his 25-year business career and is currently FINRA registered as a securities principal and a financial and operations principal.
Ken Deusterman is a senior analyst in the underwriting department. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1971 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Bethel Seminary in 2002 with a Masters degree in Theological Studies. He was on the staff of Campus Crusade for Christ From 1971 to 1977. Mr. Deusterman has worked in the securities industry since 1978. He served 17 years with Offerman & Company as a registered representative, divisional manager and regional manager before joining American Investors Group in 1995. |
